As you look at realizing your small business ideas, do you have a vivid picture in your mind of what your ideal life would look like? If you don't, create one.
Visions are far more powerful than goals, because they contain an emotional component. When you have a picture in your mind, it creates emotions in your heart, not just your head. Thats why visions work more effectively than only writing down an idea.
As an example, if you would think, "I want to be my own boss and financially independent", that would be a good goal. But it would not provide you with enough fuel and motivation to find out what actions you have to take, give you the power to force through obstacles and setbacks, inspiration to learn what it takes, stand strong against the naysayers.
What you need to do, is to create a compelling vision
See yourself working with total satisfaction, feel yourself eager to get to work again. See how you can spend time with your family and friends.
Look at yourself standing in front of your new white house with a big garage on a sunny street lined with oak trees. See your rose garden in front and a lemon tree and the tennis court at the back. Let your eyes glance at the chef's kitchen and the master bedroom with ocean view.
You now have a vision that will give your mind inspiration to realize your small business ideas. It will give you motivation to reach out for your desires. It will connect with your internal power, your subconscious mind that will pull you through all the challenges you will face, creating your new lifestyle.
You can't let the busyness and your everyday needs, prevent you from create what you want your life to be like.
Here are a few steps how to create your compelling vision
- Get clear about what you want. Write it down on paper, be specific, create a vivid picture by words
- Share your picture with someone you trust. Ask if he/she can see your picture. If it's not visible, you have to be more specific
- Read your vision daily and continue to clarify with new ideas
