Do Criminals In Prison Get More Than Honest Americans?

Author: Lance Winslow

One issue that just burns up most American taxpayers is the money we spend locking up our prisoners and criminals. They want the Televisions and weight rooms removed forever. And recently in an online think tank a think tanker stated:

Inmates are constantly punished, every day in every way - denied medical care, and their "color" TV is ONE in a common area that doesn't come in well (reception).

However this notion was immediately challenged by another think tank member who stated: Half of all Americans do not have health care and I personally have never been to a hospital in 25 years or to visit the doctor and I am fine?

Indeed one has to ask why should the taxpayer pay for health care for those who are not producing for society and even basically told the society; screw you! and decided not to follow the rules. Why should they get any health care? Why not use some of these more harsh criminals for animal testing? They are animals? As long as they do not have the double chromosome, they can be used for testing?

The most liberal think tanker stated; The 3 meals/day consist of mystery meat, barely edible vegetables and if they are lucky, they may get one piece of fruit (usually not ripe) a quarter.

What are you saying here? You want gourmet food? Put them on the front lines in Iraq dodging roadside bombs and then maybe they can get a good meal for an honest days pay. Shouldnt we be serving the citizen and taxpayer before the criminals who have decided they do not have to follow the rules? Shouldnt we consider all this in 2006.

Currently Lance is retired at age 40 and is running an Online Think Tank Forum while traveling North America. Perhaps considering something extremely challenging to do that will exercise his mind and utilize all his experiences, observations and skills. Any ideas?
