Mistakes Are There For The Making

Author: Homer Farey

Don't worry about making mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. Why should you be different.

The person who never made a mistake, never made anything. Mistakes don't have to be costly. They can also be educational. Look upon your mistakes as an asset.

Life is a learning process. Learn from your mistakes. Profit from them and you will not only make more money, you will also become a better person.

The biggest mistake that I made was to think that I was too old to learn to use a computer. I was only sixty eight at the time. That was seven years ago. It was only the fact that my great granddaughter implied that I was past it, that inspired me to have a go. I have never looked back. My horizons expanded and soon I started to make enough money to be able to enjoy life instead of relying upon my pension to just get by. I wish I had done It five years earlier.

Some of the worlds greatest inventions were made because someone made a mistake that inspired a new way of looking at a problem.

You must face the fact that from time to time you will make the odd mistake. As long as it is not life threatening, pick yourself up, dust yourself down and get on with your life. Just be careful not to make the same mistake twice.

As I said before, "We should all be prepared to learn from your mistakes." Better still, learn from other people's mistakes.

There are people out there who have become millionaires working on the internet. Do you think they never made mistakes? They are only too willing to admit to their mistakes and to explain how they resolved them.

If you want to get to the top, and I presume that you do, study those who have already made it to the top. Study the way that they did it. Discover what mistakes the made on the way. How could you profit from their mistakes?

Copy the methods of successful people. They will not be too proud to explain the problems they encountered on the way. Problems that you will surely meet as you progress and gain experience.

Disregard the 'overnight gurus' trying to sell you the latest get rich scheme. If you listen to them you will be making the biggest mistake of all. They are only interested in how much money they can make from you. Unlike the really successful people who are honestly interested in your future.

The main difference when setting up a business on the internet, as against setting up a conventional business, is that on the internet there is no shortage of genuine advice for the newcomer to take advantage of. Just make sure that you take full advantage of those who have real expertise to pass on to the newcomer. .

Good advice is there for the taking. Don't disregard it just because it is free. Some of the very best things in life are free. The old adage' Learn to walk before you try to run.' Holds good in any type of business venture. As my grandfather used to say, "Don't bite off more than you can chew."

A big mistake that a lot of newcomers make is to think that you must exaggerate the qualities of the product that you are promoting. This is just another way of trying to convince the prospective customer that something is better than it really is.

What you are doing is telling lies. You will not stay in business for long if you use this approach. The ethical approach is the only safe way of running a business. Making money is no substitute for a guilty conscience. You need to be able to sleep at night to refresh yourself for the coming day.

There will be times when everything seems to be going wrong. It's a fact of life.

Relax, nothing is so bad that it can't be fixed.

Here's to your great success. Homer....
